what we BELIEVE

We believe...

You are Included!

You should bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, and your expansive heart. We are embodying "intentional inclusion" that promotes a vision of peaceful, loving, and understanding communities. Just as each ingredient of a gumbo retains its unique characteristics yet adds to the flavor of the broth, we flavor each other without losing ourselves.

Humanity is good!

The true intention of every human heart is good. We do not deny that the outworking of that intention may be corrupted, causing harm; yet, the nature and intention of humanity is based in goodness because humanity is the expansive expression of God.

You are worth it!

Each individual possesses infinite worth by merit of their existence. As such, the duty of humanity is to create the highest quality of life possible for each person and actively seek out ways to ensure all receive it.

All are equal!

There is no distinction between genders, ethnic identities, or faith traditions. God is all, as all, and in all; therefore, all are equal in worth. Diversity matters. Not only racial diversity but diversity in all its forms. That means no matter who you are, you are welcome and wanted.

You are Perfect!

Life is a journey, not a destination. Perfection is to be regarded as continuous growth and maturing, not a static condition.

Forgiveness is a right!

Forgiveness is unmerited and unearned, yet freely given. Our charge is to repay offense with blessing, indecency with kindness, and cruelty with compassion.

God is!

God is the causeless consciousness, the uncreated creator, the source and sustainer of all that is. God is love. God is light. All that is real and all that is good comes from God - be it the universe, energy, light, or love - we believe that God is all and in all.
